Refund & Cancellation Policy

Clear rules about cancellations, refunds, and what happens to your data.

We want you to feel confident subscribing to Q-Timer. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work so there are no surprises.

1. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum commitment period (unless you are on an annual plan, which is billed once per year).

After cancellation:

  • Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period;
  • You will not be charged again after that date;
  • Your account will automatically revert to the free tier (if available), and paid-only data will be retained for 90 days before deletion.

2. Refund Policy

As a general rule, subscription fees are non-refundable for the current billing period once charged. This applies to both monthly and annual plans.

However, we will review refund requests in the following situations:

  • Duplicate charges: If you were billed more than once for the same period due to a technical error;
  • Service unavailability: If a major outage or defect prevented you from using the Service for an extended period and we were unable to resolve it;
  • Billing errors: If you were charged an incorrect amount or upgraded unintentionally due to a system error.

We do not offer refunds for partial months, periods where the Service was used, or if you simply changed your mind about using Q-Timer.

3. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the charge in question. To request a refund, email us at support@q-timer.com with the following information:

  • The email address associated with your account;
  • The date and amount of the charge;
  • A brief description of the issue.

We will respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

4. Stripe Processing Fees

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Depending on the nature of the refund and applicable Stripe policies, payment processing fees may not be recoverable. In such cases, refunds may be issued for the subscription amount minus non-recoverable processing fees, or we may offer credit toward a future billing cycle at our discretion.

5. Annual Plans

Annual subscriptions are billed once for the full year at a discounted rate. If you cancel an annual plan before the year ends, the remaining months are generally not refunded. Exceptions may be made for the situations listed in Section 2 above.

If you are on an annual plan and would prefer to switch to monthly billing, contact us at support@q-timer.com and we will assist at the next renewal.

6. Free Trial

If we offer a free trial, no charge is made during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected plan will be activated and billed automatically. It is your responsibility to cancel before trial expiry if you do not wish to be charged.

7. Plan Changes (Upgrade / Downgrade)

  • Upgrades take effect immediately and may be prorated for the remaining billing period;
  • Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.

8. Account Termination by Us

If we terminate your account due to a violation of our Terms of Service, you will not be entitled to a refund for any remaining subscription period.

If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and offer a prorated refund for any unused paid period.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
